Hi,
I am trying to import table using Import feature of Pl/Sql developer. But this process seem to be very slow. For a table having 5oK records it took 16-17 hours.
I tried transferring data from prod to dev environment(Same thing what I was doing using expoert/import feature of pl/sql developer tool) using Informatica and it finoshed within minutes.

I want to know the reason why pl/sql developer is so slow in comparison to informatica?

Thanks,
mahesh

I guess it's badly written.

Why not use IMP and EXP - the impore and export tools that Oracle provide?

No GUI wrapper & OP would have to do more than point & click.
