Thanks for your reply michel

If my tns_names.ora file is same in client then how can its connect with my server because

The tns admin file is

D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_3\network\admin\tnsnames.ora

but actual database is in
\\server\oracle\pro
duct\10.2.0\db_3\network\admin\tnsnames.ora

What is the point?
The CONTENT of the files should be the same one, not the LOCATION.

TNSNAMES.ORA file is strictly a client side file.
The client uses the content of TNSNAMES.ORA file to obtain connection details for the desired database.
