Hi,

I am able to login oracle 10g DB with Unix User Oracle, but failed to login DB with unix user root.

ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID are correct under root user. Anything we need to change to login Oracle with user root?

Thanks

The test results are below:

[oracle ~]$ sqlplus / as sysdba

& rightly so.
All is working as designed.
NEVER use OS root user to access Oracle DB!
