Hi,

I need to login to my db via sql*plus but when I m trying to login to db I m getting below error.
ERROR:
ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

can you please let me know how I can log to sql*plus.
My user name:Control
My db name: Dev#3562

You've not stated anything about which version of Oracle, nor what OS, but I'll hazard a guess anyway.

Typically I see this problem from people who are running on Windows, and they have either
1) not set ORACLE_SID properly, or
2) the Windows service for the database is not started.

Both of the above also assume that the client and database are on the same machine.
