Anyone used as a target table using remote table (a table in different database) connect using dblink.

Scenario:

default target database is DB1
my default target schema is Target1

I am trying to access table in database RMOT_DB
I have created a private synonym in database DB1 and schema Target1 using dblink. From SQLPLUS session I am able to acceess the RMOT_DB tables, but I couldn't import the metadata in OWB.

1) Is it possible in OWB .... version 10.1 ?
2) Is there any alternate solution to do this?

Thank you

Hi

OWB always use dblink for source schemas and tables even if they are in the dw database. So create the dblink in the owb not in the database schema, and use it to import the metadata and to load the data from it.
