Hi, i have 16GB of physical memory on my 64 bit Windows OS, and want to assign the max (4GB) to Oracle. I have added the \3G swicth to the boot.ini file but i want to know what memory parameters to set. Currently my SGA_Max_Size is 1.6GB. I can have up to 800 concurrent users. I am intending toi upgrade to 10G soon, but am getting memory issues and would like to know if there is a quick fix. Cheers Stew

First read How to Identify Performance Problem and Bottleneck.

We don't size from the RAM we have, we size from the workload we have.
