I have noticed over the last few months that occasionally, the db appears to slow right down, for no apparent reason. It never seems to happen at the same time, and i've looked at longops and running jobs, processes and memory useage, but can never see anything that might indicate why it has slowed down. Then all of a sudden, and i don't do anything, normal performance is resumed. Any ideas what else i can look at to assist me in this?

Cheers

This could be a wild goose chase Smile.
Are there any other services hosted in the same server?
Did you check the OS backup schedule?
Is there any scheduled database jobs?
