Suppose my database size is 10 GB and Ram used is 512 MB Ram and Hard Disk used is 80 GB.I wanted to know what should be my size of SGA in bytes.In my database it is mentioned as SGA Size 135338868,shared pool size 50331648 ,db_block_size=8192 and db_block_buffers=0,sort_area_size=524288.can you please help me to estimate that this kind of configuration is correct for 10 GB database.IF not what should be SGA Size,db_block_buffers size,sort_area_size,db_block_size

See According to me searching things will take a lot of time.Could you please tell me what should be the size of SGA I should estimate.Is 135338868 the proper estimate for estimate.Is 8192 the correct block size for Db_block_size,Is 0 the correct buffers for db_block_buffers,Is 50331648 the correct size for shared pool.Please note that the HDD is 80 Gb and the Ram is 512 MB and the database size is 10 GB

I'd use 123456789 for all values.

Did you mean to say that the size of SGA should be 123456789 or Size of DB_block_buffers,db_block_size,shared_pool_size size,sort_area_size should be 123456789

How come the size of all the database parameters should be 123456789.I dont understand.You mean to say that the database parameters like i.e shared pool size,sort area size,db_block_size,db_block_buffers should be 123456789.How can this be possible.

SELECT VIEW_NAME FROM DBA_VIEWS WHERE VIEW_NAME LIKE '%ADVICE%';

Query the returned views & adjust accordingly.

hmm, it seem to find the answer easily, on the menu with the button [/b]search[/b], write down "SGA_MAX_SIZE", you can find, find, and find many topics related it. Read them and test those values.

Anna, you miss one character (s) from the DBA_VIEW(s) not DBA_VIEW. Cool

But I like 1234567890 values than Michel's Laughing

After querying this query what I should find.I have recieved that views.Now what shall I do.Hey can you please help me check whether any changes are suppose to be made.if any changes are suppose to be made.Do tell me.My Database size is 10 Gb,HDD 80 GB.Ram used is 512 MB.

Well Could you please tell how much should be SGA SIZE IN MB,SHARED POOL SIZE IN MB,DB BUFFER CACHE IN MB,REDOLOG BUFFER CACHE IN MB OF A 10 GB DATABASE.
